The purpose of this thesis is to study the educational philosophy which is included in post-modern period .This study is to try to find out the solution of modern education's issue by comparing the modern education and the post-modern period's education. The reason for the fundamental existence of education is to predict the future and prepare the alternative. The reason is, students who are taking public education's ideal and dream is for the future society, not for the present. However, society‘s sudden changes and knowledge hierarchy period which has swift culture passage, are changing the education's notion to new one. An industrial society, which is achieved by modern industrial society period, generalized a mass production from development of science and emphasized that efficiency. The development of this industry society includes traditional knowledge training which improve people's standard, results oriented training, and group education etc.... kind of modernism education played an important role. That is, modernism education played an important role in modernization and industrialization's realization and this education reflected the characteristic of modern period. On the basic of this, modernism education implanted the character of modern period. However, in the reality education, teachers confirm and felt their limit to teach the students who are enclosed in relativism and pluralism thinking. In recent times the students are accustomed to postmodernism culture, so they are not presume the teachers' prestige and superiority. Also, they are denying the logical meaning, even though those are obtained certification. In this situation, the educational rose up for solution about modern education's issue and people are required a new educational thinking. On this, postmodernism education's viewpoint is overcome the modern education's issue and understanding a new education. The Korea education got in to trouble with collapse of public education, expansion of private education, distrust of students and teachers and students' departure. Theses issues are not only education problems, but also society problems. For this reason, educators suggest the post-modern education for solution because they think those issues are from modern education's wrong teaching way. Post-modern education emphasizes the freedom and wants characteristic and wants creative talent. Accordingly, post-modern period's important aim is bring up the creative talent by individualized education. The result of this study, an influence of postmodernism to present education is as in the following. First, teachers should teach the students with pluralism education, not teaching by method, so students can switch their thinking to experienced education. Second, education should make students to think, creative and solve by themselves. These can make them to realize their value and conviction. Third, for students creative, critical thinking and independence, they need right culture background, so the things which can influence to students should be changed. Fourth, a change of students and teachers' relationship. Teachers' role is not control and just give the knowledge. They have to solve many issues from conversation, then make students to do self reflection. Teachers should be companion. The critical point of postmodernism education is only focus on the modern education's problem issuing, not on the definite solution for public and private education. The reality of postmodernism is, about this education, any methodical solution did not show up. As same as before, the discussion will go on the same way, so in this situation, the research should suggests the specific solutions because postmodernism's prospect is too diversity. Also, educators and philosophers have different opinions and their interpretation have wide variations.
