Nowadays, due to the global expansion or the like of the information and computer communication system, out society is taking more serious view about knowledge which gets a relative advantage on the ability for creation, acquisition, accumulation and application of knowledge, preparation of Lifelong Learning society that can build up the human and social resources is becoming more important than anything else as the very care of the capacity of all the residents living in the territory, utilizing all the educational resources as possible, such as home, school, work site, community, etc., from the cradle to the grave. Recognizing such a situation, this study suggests the Gwangmyeong city lifelong learning community center so that it can make a educational community in orderfor every resident in the territory to be able to be educated whenever and wherever they want and for the expansion of human resources for the autonomous organization and at the same time for promoting the quality of the residential lives. For this purpose, this study made up the questionnaires and analyzed the result on 155 persons of the participants and the related people on the program of the Gwangmyeong city lifelong learning community center who have connections directly or indirectly with lifelong learning society. The result of analysis is as follows. First, it has shown that the related persons considered the lifelong learning center as their lifelong work site and they need senses of mission and technical knowledge on the lifelong education, and that influences of the residents on the employment of lecturers for the lifelong learning program and on the selection of program are higher than those of public officials or the boss of institutions, meaning that is reflected the atmosphere of the residents in the territory. They favored week days as for the management of education program 3 thru 6 month curriculum as for educational terms and discussion based method (like symposium, free discussion and workshop) as for the difficulties of managing the education program. Second, they responded that for the purpose of participating in the education program is obtaining of the new knowledge and technique with the information necessary for a domestic and social life which will help promoting the quality of life. After finishing the program, they want to make studying group for their activities and are satisfied comparatively with the appropriateness on the lecturers, way of teaching and the purpose and content of education. It has shown that the Gwangmyeong city lifelong learning community center performed the management prog- ram of the high level. Third, since most responders felt the necessity of the education program for the lifelong learning, the demand for future lifelong learning is expected to increase. As to the educational field, programs related to hobby, entertainment, recreation activity program (including the education for foreign languages and computers)and job related program such as acquisition of license, employment, etc. were much favored, and thus, these programs shall be applied to the future program management. Fourth, it is required to have the residential autonomy center for actualizing the lifelong learning society which is necessary for the lifelong learning facility in order for the lifelong learning center to be operated in network primarily and the expansion of financial support so as for the government to activate the lifelong learning center. Fifth, for the good results of the lifelong learning society, the followings shall be performed; development of policy for the lifelong learning society regarding the role of the lifelong learning center, making network between the relevant institutions, offering of information on lifelong education, development of various education program, lectures for citizens, training of man power related to lifelong education and information banking system for experts supporting the education (for in-service training). Sixth, since 98 percent trainee of the education program responded positively to the performance of the Gwangmyeong city lifelong learning community center based on the lifelong learning center, the role of the lifelong learning center regarding the actualization of the lifelong learning society was shown to be the greatest.
